The font in this print links to its title New York, the font links to New York in a variety of ways. Firstly the font has a straight an sharp part in each font, this reminds me of the tall tower like buildings in New York and evident of these linking to the tall buildings in the concrete jungle of New York, the 'W' at the end of 'New' has the Empire State attached to it.
The 'O' in York is replaced by an apple, this is because New York is nicknamed 'The Big Apple'since the 1920s. The round/curly end of the words are linked to the apple as an apple is round itself and the round/curly ends of the letters stand out more than the sharp bits because of the white line on the border of them; this makes look juicy and tasty like an Apple as well as them appearing in the same shape as them.
